TYPES OF TRANSACTIONS
There are two conventional typical types of transactions which occur:
1. Sourcing of paper from suppliers (yield on discounting): This would be the scenario where a customer wants to rent an asset and contacts the supplier directly. The supplier therefore gets remunerated upfront for the cost of the equipment (by Custom Capital) and the customer enters into a rental agreement with Custom Capital. These transactions are reflected as off-balance-sheet transations for the customer.
2. Sourcing of paper from corporates directly. In this instance, the corporate would identify the piece of equipment and transact with Custom Capital to finance the equipment through a rental contract. Custom Capital would pay the supplier and enter into an agreement with the business.
